First announced earlier this year, this collection, LJUS, explores the relationship between light and scent through the lens of distinct Nordic craftsmanship. Drawing on Iittala’s heritage in glassmaking and Byredo’s expertise in sensory design, the collection offers a new way of experiencing everyday rituals through the considered interplay of form, light and fragrance, shaped through and animated by flame.
As the colder months draw in, the launch arrives at a moment when our homes and daily rituals naturally shift with the season. Inspired by the changing qualities of Nordic light, this partnership explores the quiet dialogue between fire and ice, permanence and ephemerality, inviting moments of warmth, reflection and pause.

Handcrafted at Iittala’s historic factory in Finland, where generations of skilled makers have shaped molten glass through breath, heat and human touch, each object bears subtle variations in form and surface that reflect the character of the making process.
Rather than imperfections, these subtle variations are hallmarks of the making process, reflecting the unique character of glass as a living material.
Paired with Byredo’s candles and incense, the collection creates an immersive sensory experience, where glass, fragrance and light interact to shape atmosphere within the home.
LJUS marries two Nordic houses united by a shared commitment to enduring design, championing the quiet moments of everyday life through objects created to be lived with and cherished over time.
The full LJUS collection will launch globally on 16 October 2026 for the holiday season, available through Iittala.com and Iittala stores, alongside Byredo’s direct-to-consumer channels.
