Unconventional by DNA and modular at heart, Bau is a modular seating series that
challenges conventional design and invites a freer, more playful approach.

Bau is softer, lower, and more eccentric than the often somewhat rigid and conformist modular systems to which we have become accustomed, particularly in workplaces and public spaces. “Our aim was to create a piece of furniture
with a lot of character that makes people happy and creative,” says Malin Engvall, one of the designers at Note.

The latest addition introduces three new units that further push the boundaries of modular seating, unlocking an even wider range of configurations. These additions enable soft curves and defined angles, offering greater freedom to create bold, flexible layouts that adapt to the flow of the space. From open islands and inviting
corners to striking sculptural formations, Bau is designed to let the anti-ordinary lead the way. Already recognised internationally, Bau has been adopted across a broad spectrum of interiors, including hospitality, healthcare, lounges, and shared spaces. The series brings people together, encourages interaction, and sparks creativity—while continuously opening up new possibilities for contemporary interiors.
