Swedish design brand Dusty Deco has teamed up with Studio Stockholm, an award-winning architecture studio, to create Decadent, a unique armchair upholstered in an exclusive Limonta textile. The Decadent Armchair will be launched during this year’s Stockholm Design Week.

Dusty Deco is a dynamic, eclectic furniture brand started by Edin and Lina Kjellvertz, and celebrated for its fearless approach to pushing the boundaries of design. Combining high-quality craftsmanship with unique, visionary style, Dusty Deco is dedicated to creating timeless furniture pieces that tell a story and stand out in both form and function.

This vision is clearly reflected in the new collaboration with Studio Stockholm. The collaboration brings together the unique DNA of both brands, resulting in an innovative collection that challenges conventional design boundaries while remaining grounded in elegance, functionality, and bold, sustainable craftsmanship.

“We’ve known most of the team at Studio Stockholm for a while and met on several occasions. The idea came up over a casual dinner and we asked Studio Stockholm if they’d be interested in designing a piece of furniture for Dusty Deco,” says Edin Kjellvertz, and continues: “After meaningful discussions, Studio Stockholm presented a mood board that reflected the aesthetic and essence of Dusty Deco. The resulting designs clicked instantly, leading to the creation of a small, curated collection that fuses timeless style with modern sophistication.”

Studio Stockholm, renowned for blending sharp business insight with exceptional creativity, has built a reputation for creating brand experiences and physical spaces that redefine boundaries. With a focus on bold, sustainable design concepts, the studio’s vision aligns seamlessly with Dusty Deco’s fearless approach to advancing the furniture industry. This shared ethos of innovation and design integrity sparked the collaboration, which will debut with a stunning piece: The Decadent Armchair, followed by more from the collection throughout the year.

This exquisite armchair embodies a sense of comfort and intimacy, with intricate detailing and a design that commands attention from every angle. Drawing inspiration from the classic club chair—think smoky jazz lounges and quintessential British clubhouses— Studio Stockholm has refined the concept, blending style and sophistication to perfectly suit the Dusty Deco world.

Crafted by skilled artisans in Europe, the Decadent Armchair is sustainably crafted using FSC-certified wood. Its seat is composed of varying densities of foam topped with natural feathers, offering optimal comfort and support. The chair is draped in a custom-made Italian Jacquard fabric, designed by Studio Stockholm, featuring a unique wool-blend bouclé weft yarn on a viscose-linen base. The fabric’s composition includes PE, viscose, cotton, and linen, ensuring both durability and tactile luxury.

“This collaboration has been a joy from start to finish,” says Edin Kjellvertz. “Studio Stockholm’s vision perfectly aligns with our ethos—pushing boundaries while embracing craftsmanship, comfort, and creativity. We are thrilled to introduce the Decadent Armchair as the first piece in this exciting new collection.”

About Dusty Deco

When Edin and Lina Kjellvertz launched Dusty Deco as a platform for curating vintage furniture, interior accessories and art, they travelled the world and browsed flea markets for the most unique pieces they could find. Their philosophy was to acquire only items they truly loved, fostering a collection with a timeless aesthetic. Safe to say, their home and storage spaces soon overflowed with rare design objects.

What began as a small-scale passion project quickly grew into a loyal fan base and a dedicated retail space in their hometown of Stockholm. Ten years later, Edin and Lina began a new chapter in the brand’s history by closing the doors to their vintage business and launching Dusty Deco as an independent design brand, featuring a curated collection of furniture, rugs and accessories.

Today Dusty Deco is a contemporary design brand, creating pieces with just as much storytelling, originality, and passion for craftsmanship as the vintage finds that originally inspired the couple to start their company.
