On February 4, our invited international press tour visited the installation MANUFRACTURE, created by the internationally acclaimed British designer and artist Faye Toogood, the 20th Guest of Honour at this year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair.
Toogood is known for highlighting and emphasizing the hands behind the craft and their importance in today’s design processes. In this unique installation she encourages a dialogue about the maker and the making, by puting the spotlight on each link in the chain of makers, exploring the complex, symbiotic relationship between artist and artisan.
