The first evening of Stockholm Design Week, the doors to Berns and the design- and architecture gala Årets Rum opened. This years gala was hosted by Jenny Strömstedt. The winners of the prize award Årets Rum in four different categories was announced; Shane Schnek och Clara Von Zweigbergk – designer of the year 2016, Olafur Eliasson – architecture of the year, Jesper Kouthoofd – object for the home of the year and David Ericsson – furniture of the year. The list of this years most influent and powerful people within design- and architecture in Sweden was presented. Live jazz was performed by Linda Sundblad.
